212 Generous Toy Donations Kick Off the Gadsden County Toy Drive
- Posted: 12/11/09 |
Quincy, FL - (December 11, 2009) - As of December 11, the Gadsden County Toy Drive reaped the benefits of kind and generous hearts with 212 toy donations. The toy drive kicked off on Tuesday, December 8 with the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce's annual Holiday Glee after hours event. The social networking event, hosted by Tri-Eagle Sales and sponsored by Antelope Computer Services LLC, was attended by nearly 80 business representatives. Most participants, including the Gadsden County Men of Action and employees of Tri-Eagle Sales and Antelope Computer Services, donated several toys each as well as blankets for the Chamber's Share the Warmth Blanket Drive.
Tri-Eagle Sales will collect toys for the toy drive until December 17 at their office located at 545 River Birch Road in Midway. Local businesses and caring members of the community are encouraged to support the drive by dropping off new, unwrapped toys to Tri-Eagle Sales weekdays between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the donation period.
The Chamber will accept donations at its office located at 208 North Adams Street in Quincy until December 17. Members of the Gadsden County Men of Action will also be obtaining donations throughout the area. Those interested in donating new, unwrapped toys after December 17 should contact Reverend Tony Hannah of the Gadsden County Men of Action at (850) 875-2610 or (850) 556-3055.
The Gadsden County Toy Drive was created to guarantee that local donations would be given to Gadsden County children. Donations will be divided among the Capital Area Community Action Agency, PAEC Migrant Program and other need-based service organizations that offer county-wide assistance to needy Gadsden County residents. For more information about the Gadsden County Toy Drive, please call the Gadsden County Men of Action at (850) 875-2610 or (850) 556-3055, Tri-Eagle Sales at (850) 539-2539 or the Chamber at (850) 627-9231.
